Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Tarangire national park – Game drive
Meet your safari driver as early as 6 am, contingent upon your location in Arusha. The driver will subsequently provide you with a briefing regarding the trip.
Following an early morning meal, proceed to Tarangire National Park for a comprehensive day-long game drive in pursuit of wildlife, including herds of elephants and various species like as zebras, hartebeests, waterbucks, gazelles, oryx, among others. Enjoy a packed lunch during transit and participate in an afternoon/evening game drive. Proceed to your reserved lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation at Twiga Safari Lodge for cheap options or Karatu Tented Lodge for mid-range options.
Day 2: Game drive and canopy top tree walk in Lake Manyara
Following breakfast, embark on a game drive to discover Lake Manyara National Park and appreciate its different landscapes. You will observe several wildlife species in the national park, including antelopes, gazelles, buffalo, leopards, waterbucks, monkeys, and baboons, as well as diverse bird species in Lake Manyara National Park. Following the game drive and your packed lunch, embark on a canopy tree walk to further explore the park. Revert to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as previously mentioned.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater tour – journey to Serengeti National Park
Following breakfast, proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with your packed lunch for a game drive in the crater. You will descend 600 meters into the crater to observe many wildlife species, including cheetahs, lions, leopards, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeests, and several others. You will also see Lake Magadi, a substantial yet shallow alkaline lake located in the southwestern portion, which is one of the primary characteristics of the crater. A multitude of flamingos, hippos, and various avian species will be observed along the lakeshores.
Subsequent to your picnic lunch, proceed to Serengeti National Park for additional wildlife observation opportunities. The journey entails around four hours of driving, including opportunities for game viewing along the route. During your game drive, you will observe a variety of wildlife species, including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, lions, buffalos, hippos, cheetahs, leopards, elands, giraffes, and numerous others. Day 4: Entire day in Serengeti National Park
An early breakfast will be served at your lodge before to a full day of wildlife observation in Serengeti National Park. During your morning game drive in the national park’s wilderness, you will observe various wildlife species, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, impalas, African wild dogs, serval cats, and elephants. Following this, you will enjoy your packed lunches in the park before embarking on another game drive post-lunch. During your game drive in Serengeti National Park, you will traverse the kopjes, such as the Simba kopjes, and observe lions as they survey their prey on the savannah plains from the rocky heights. You will also appreciate observing the sunset as your guide transports you back to your lodge.
Day 5: Entire day in Serengeti National Park
You will partake in an early breakfast at your lodge prior to a full day of wildlife observation while exploring Serengeti National Park. During your morning game drive in the national park’s wilderness, you will observe a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, impalas, African wild dogs, serval cats, and elephants. Following this, you will enjoy your packed lunches in the park before embarking on another game drive post-lunch. During your game drive in Serengeti National Park, you will traverse the kopjes, such as the Simba kopjes, and observe lions as they survey their prey on the savannah plains from the rocky outcrops. You will also appreciate observing the sunset as your guide transports you back to your lodge.
Day 6: Depart for Zanzibar
Partake in breakfast, subsequently check out of the lodge, and proceed to Seromera airfield for your flight to Zanzibar. Flight with Flightlink departs Seromera at 11:30 AM, transiting through Arusha, and arrives in Zanzibar at 14:15 hours. Upon your arrival in Zanzibar, you will be greeted by your hotel or safari driver, who will transport you to the Golden Tulip Zanzibar Resort for check-in, supper, and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Tour of Zanzibar City — Prison Island, Spice Tour, and Stone Town
You will have breakfast at your hotel, after which you will commence your day’s activities. You will go on a private boat from Stone Town to Changuu Island, also known as Prison Island, where you will observe the giant tortoises and partake in snorkeling during your island tour. You will return by boat from Changuu Island to Stone Town. On this day, you will participate in a spice tour, exploring farms where you will observe several exotic spices and learn about their applications, including cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg, among others. Day 8: Safari Blue Expedition and Zanzibar Coastal Experience
You will relish the finest boat excursion on the island, which offers a remarkable experience sailing in exquisite classic Dhows.
